Face-to-Face Lessons

DLG Academy offers structured, small-group lessons designed to guide children through a clear learning journey from Year 3 to 11+ success.
Our lessons go beyond standard tutoring. Students follow a carefully planned pathway that builds strong foundations in English and Maths, while gradually developing Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning skills as they progress.
Each stage is designed to support your child’s development step by step — building confidence, strengthening understanding and preparing them for both school success and 11+ entrance exams.

    Parent Reviews

Over the years, many families have trusted DLG Academy to support their children’s learning and 11+ preparation.

Sisi’s teaching made a significant difference to my child’s progress. She quickly identified gaps and addressed them in a structured and methodical way, which helped build both understanding and confidence.

Within a short period of time, my child moved into the top set at school and went on to pass the 11+, being offered a place at our first-choice grammar school.

We also found the guidance and communication throughout extremely helpful. The regular updates and advice made it much easier for us to support learning at home.

My child’s confidence and attitude towards learning changed noticeably after starting lessons. He became more organised, more independent and much more willing to engage with challenging work.

The structured approach and consistent practice led to strong academic progress, including a move into a higher set at school. He went on to pass the 11+, which we were very pleased with.

The termly parent meetings were particularly valuable, as they gave us a clear understanding of progress and what to focus on next.

My child joined DLG Academy in Year 3 and continued through Years 4 and 5. Over that time, we saw steady and consistent progress across all areas.

She developed into a confident and independent learner, with much stronger organisation and approach to her work. She went on to pass the 11+ and was also offered a place at a highly regarded independent school.

What stood out most was the level of care and attention given to each child, as well as the clear structure of the lessons and materials. It has been a very positive experience for us as a family.
